Emmie Lou is 18 Wow! Last week we added another adult in our Bunch of Oranges! Did you hear this Mama gulp? Second child & first girl. She was our little real life princess, girly but tough & didn’t mind getting dirty whether it was playing in the mud or cleaning up after her rabbits & goats. She has always been an easy child to raise up…she was always so obedient & did things the first time you told her to. It’s hard to believe it’s been 18 years since she came into this world. I always have to say that she helped heal her Mama’s heart after losing my Daddy just before she was born. She was also a helpful child having two younger siblings. Looking back is so hard for me & makes me cry. But then I have to remember how it feels to “Grow Up”… the feeling of some freedom & independence & hard work that has a paycheck. We are so proud of her hard work in school, her job & her dedication to her sport. We pray she continues to strive & be her best self & become more & more of the christian young woman that God has called her to be. We hope she Believes every day for the rest of her life that we love her & will be here for her always… but that even better God has her & will be her everlasting hope-peace-saving grace while on this earth. Happy 18th Birthday to Emmie Lou!
