WHO Is Your Food Source?

Another one of those nature nudges while outside with the animals... ❤️
It keeps coming back into my mind every time it happens lately so I think I should share. ☺️ We let our donkey & goats out to range freely &  graze all around our house. (They will come eat my fake flowers on my front door wreath if I don’t watch them.πŸ˜’) We give them hay & sometimes some grain & sweet feed because let’s face it we want them to love us & be spoiled. πŸ₯° It hits me though when we let them “out of their fenced area to go eat as much luscious green as they want”… Yet they continue to linger around the food bin waiting for me to open it and feed them. I call it their crack food because they are so addicted. My donkey will bite at the lid & try to lift it and open it herself. She gets sassy & can get frisky with the goats to get away because she wants that sweet treat. She might even try to bite at them!🀨 This morning I giggled realizing the tshirt I was wearing is exactly the truth. ❤️
But once again the thought of where we get our “food” came to my mind. Is the Lord our food source where we graciously graze in His goodness? We can be filled with His lucious love that fills our souls up. He is the Bread of LIFE! OR… are we lingering next to that “worldly food bin”… with the addictive sources that leave us always feeling hungry for more. That’s the kind of food Satan tries to feed us. The crack kind. The zero nutritious, self consumed, appealingly to the eyes packaged kind… filled with expired lies.
Even though the Lord fills our plates with His fruits… you better believe that Satan is trying his best to create an appeasing evil dessert. He wants to be our food source. Lock the pantry! Guard your heart! πŸ™πŸ» God is the only way to never go hungry! Believe in Him❤️
I pray for my pantry & my heart to be filled with the Lord’s food. I pray yours is too. I think grazing with the Lord in Heaven one day sounds like a perfect eternity.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #foodforthought #breadoflife

Big Dreams Need Big Tires

It’s a Country Dreams kind of day! πŸŽ‰Nate & his brother Tai bought a tractor together to take care of this land we love.❤️ They are like two little boys with excitement! I absolutely love their faces in the cab together! Tai’s curled up tongue & Nate looks like he ain’t got no teeth!πŸ˜‚ They couldn’t wait to show their dad! I love these Orange men so much! 🧑 Bless ‘Em 🚜 The pictures just didn’t even do it justice as to how big it is! Our mouths dropped when it got delivered! It’s gonna be so great with all the hills & places they need to get to around the countryside. Let’s start her up!
So very proud of them! πŸ₯°

Ain’t Nothin Sweeter Than Doughnuts

Oh my Gunner! Loves him some doughnuts! That’s perfect for a good morning bday cake! I can’t believe Gunner is 12!!!! He is in middle school & plays football! The big kind that you wear pads & mouth pieces & sharp cleats that hurt if you get stepped on! No one prepares you to go from the little bumps & bruises of toddlerhood to being cleated & slammed to the ground in football. Mamas truly have to grit their teeth & soothe their own hearts to keep from cringing at boy stuff.but even still…  I love my boys! I feel so blessed God let us experience what it’s like to have sons!
September has been a been month of celebrating, then Celebrating some more with cousins & aunts who all have bdays too! Then it’s sweatin time & getting those jerseys washed up real quick! Football fun! Noah is playing too so we have had the weeknight lights & the Friday night lights shine upon us this month! What a time to remember though… all these games & busy times of trips from practices… I know it will pass & go so quickly. I had to take something to the concession stand one evening & looked up to see some of the high school boys belting across the field. I had to stop & take a pic of Noah. I am super proud of his dedication & love for his team & football. These boys put in a lot of sweat and strength & I just pray their hearts & minds are rewarded for their hard work… cause mine sure are.❤️

Big 20 Is Big Tex

Married for 20 years & most all of those years (18) were on our adventure to the Big state of Texas! We lived a big chapter of our marriage there & had all our children there. The Texas longhorn is just the perfect symbol of our time there. So excited for the days to come of pulling in the driveway & him out to greet us as we drive up to the house.

These are the pics from a little getaway with my love🧑 Had to pick up “Lil Tex” who will be a very Big Tex & with that came a drive to the oldest town in Tennessee…. “Jonesboro”. We stayed in “the cellar” of this crazy 1800’s house. We walked across the street in this little town & it had so much character & history & even a quaint little “Texas Burritos” restaurant that felt like it was there just for us. πŸ˜‹ Oh how we love Tex Mex😍 Then off to pick up our new baby… & gaw over the massive Longhorns they had.  I think the drive around beautiful country & tiny roads with my hubby was my favorite part! ❤️ We laughed our heads off at some of the road names. How funny would it be to say you lived at 1275 Little Chuckey Road?!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ So much fun! I think we need to get a new animal often just for these fun drives together. Nate says now he’s officially a “real cowboy”πŸ˜‚… so don’t judge if he starts wearing his Wranglers a little tighter.πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚ Our new TX longhorn “TEX” is home with his new family now & apparently their horns grow 1-2 inches a month😳 so we gotta get busy on more fencin! He is a little shy but curious & our donkey & goats are a little jealous.πŸ˜‚ No worries the Oranges have plenty of love for all of ya’ll.🧑🧑🧑
