Happy New Year!!!!! It is 2021!!!!!
This is a over a month old picture. It was our house we stayed in while building. I was doing the dishes one morning (after leaving it all the night before to face in the morning)😖 & after leaving them to dry, I came back in the room to see them & I just stared at them & laughed. Nathan had come in there for something & I said, “Look at this... I didn’t even do it on purpose, but it’s resonating with me right now with our LIFE.....2020....& I just had to take a picture of this comical reality sight.”
(Yes.... deep thoughts are coming.) 🙂
I looked at each dish drying. I could name what every pot & pan stood for during that moment in time of our exhausted life. Pretty crazy. I share it now & ask, Which one represents your life? The one getting burned & stained with black? (Red pot)The one that has holes in it, that no matter what you do, you lose...everything seems to just slip through your fingers & you just can’t grasp on to anything? (Colander)
The clear, see through transparent life of what you believe in & Subjected to much judgement & eyes of the world?(Pyrex) The one carrying the weight of too much & fear that at any moment it could all tumble? (Cutting boards) The one that is still in murky water needing to soak to help get the mistakes or yuck out? (Pan in sink)
I felt like WE were all of them at that moment. But no matter which one represents our fragile lives... There is one thing that gave me comfort at that moment... Them Iron Skillets. 😊 They are the base of this mess of life. To me, they represent GOD. So no matter which of these other dishes represent our lives.. maybe all of them... If we have our Iron Skillet Almighty God as our foundation... we will make it. We will persevere. We will survive the burns & stains & loss. We will carry the weight & we will not be afraid to go through the murky waters of what is to come. I hope this & all the scriptures below encourage you as they did me.❤️
For 2021.... I choose “STABILITY”! 🙏🏻There is only one way to have it ya’ll. We are all living in some crazy times of this world. There is so much fear out there & acts going on that will not give us peace already in this new year. We have been chosen to live in this time so we have to face all the dirty dishes. I hope & pray we can all cling to & remember who our Savior is....The only one that can stand beside us, who is for us & not against us. Wishing all of you a “stable 2021”🙌🏼with hearts of love & peace & souls that belong to Jesus. #stability #ironman
