How Much More Summer Can We Fit In?

I love crazy memorable times! I love that this picture tells a story of a night we thought we planned out to be so fun! We wanted to go to Top Golf… well because Noah loves that place & wanted to go back for a while now! So why not make that a summer fun thing for the family? We called to get reservations but they didn’t take them but only 30 minute wait. We didn’t go until hours later… oops… and when we got there they had no availability and it would be a 2 1/2 hour wait! Oh man! So with some disappointing walks to the car, we decided to go eat at Hattie B’s and get some famous chicken? Well that turned into downtown Nashville… parking for $44 and eating in a cafeteria with mass amounts of choice restaurants! Everyone wasn’t happy about it. But you got to learn to roll with things sometimes & make lemon add out of lemons & smile while drinking it! What matters is we were together & can still laugh a little to try to stay sane with all the mishaps! 

Oh my little “Bunch of Oranges”….oh how they grow…they make me so proud, they just don’t even know! 🧡

I can’t believe summer is coming to an end! Back to it we go! Praying for all these precious souls as they navigate another year & all us parents too! 😉🙏🏻

My little sissy had a birthday & they came out to visit! I love to celebrate her but she isn’t one for attention. I have some sweet pictures of cousins & so happy we got to spend the day with them! 

Noahs’ girlfriend…. Her sis & her Mom… oh my sweet friend Amy… you deserve much celebration & love! I know God brought our kids together for a reason! I found a friend too! What a special day we had & one we won’t forget!

Twenty Years

July 28th ❤️20 Years of Marriage❤️

 for me & Nate. Our 27 year long love story is still writing itself. Each chapter has it’s own special words to describe the moments we share together. It’s continued to build each year & with every child we have added to our family. Some of the pages have tears on them & some are quite ruffled from all the retelling and laughter of the fun & memorable moments. Only God knows how our story will end & what will continue on from all we have built. I do know that 20 years is a commitment & I would do it all over again. I also know that the only “perfect love” is our Lord’s. We can’t give it to each other or hold one another to that kind of perfection. I wish we could, cause it would feel so amazing & the reason I know is because God gives us “little glimpses” of His perfect Love in our marriage. God fills in the gaps because we are in a covenant with him & each other. He finishes the chapters we couldn’t. He starts the new seasons we need, because He is perfect love. We have such a responsibility in that we have four children “in our pages with us.”Every day we love one another, we are showing them what love is & who gives us this love. They can have it too one day, but only through God. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I love that he is my love story & that I am his. I want this book to finish with him. There is no one else I want to love or to love me. Even with all of our shortcomings, they are still floating on a solid foundation. It’s all the little things that make me so happy. 

❤️I fell a little deeper in love for him last week when I was trying to figure out supper & just tired & not feeling it that day. He looked up at me & said, “Let’s just have spaghetti… & I’ll even make it.” He had me. He had me at spaghetti.❤️ So easy & simple. Why would I not think he would say that? Cause He IS spaghetti! He is easy to please & my simple man. Cheers to many more years of loving him & cheers to lots more spaghetti! ❤️

🎉Lastly…To remember our 20th…Just to add a ‘little more love to our pot’….we are getting the long awaited Longhorn! 🎉 This beautiful & handsome little bull calf will join us in September & Yes…Yes…

His name will be TEX! ❤️

Reuniting & It Feels So Good!

Girl time in your 40s is hard to make happen when you are “into the thick of it” with being a Mama! Moving away from so many of “my girls” over 2 years ago has definitely pulled at my heartstrings! Reuniting is always such a blast & a treasure of a time being together!💗 When you have that one friend that never gives up trying, she gets us all there, takes care of all the things, would do anything for us just so we can all be together… thank you dear Holmes!🥳 From pool time to pedicures, shopping & yummy food & the absolute best kind of laughter that is good for the s-o-u-l! I love ya’ll & appreciate each of you carving out time for our sweet friendship. 💘
