Nothing like a cold December morning watching a little girl play on the screen porch arranging her little calico critter folks as they should be.... with chickens pecking behind her & her little sock hat. These are the lovely things my eyes peek at that make my heart beat at just the right pace. Something about little girls & puppies & little girls sleeping & little girls with new pjs from her MeeMaw that she immediately put on & little girls holding a new doll they bought with their own bday money at the antique mall..... something about that makes those pictures start off the December post. Simple, Sweet & Slow As they should be.
Then the beautiful amaryllis blooms my Mama gave me that were the brightest red & bloomed so perfectly! It was exciting to wait & watch for the day they would start!
December has its delights that’s for sure! Sweet friends coming over for supper... absolutely made our night with a tall slender Santa wearing a very fitting... black suit with Christmas cats & lights all over it! Topping it off with a camo cowboy hat earning him the seat for the

December wouldn’t be complete without some good huntin... so wonderful having Uncle Tai around... from the very first moment he had his hands in it cleaning one deer after another for this crew & so awesome to see him drop one too before leaving. Don’t forget about Papa... for where there is a need.... there is Papa on his tractor!

Guess who else has a birthday in December!!!?! ME!! Turning another year older isn’t so bad when your Mama surprises you with a visit & a big pot of beef stew on your birthday eve ... then I woke up with a coffee drink from the city🥰 & hubby replaced my chain necklace for my little gold heart he made for me when we were 17. ❤️ I treasure it so much b/c he bent the shape of it himself & I just love it! Also... I have to share... the funnest thing ever was the Orange family having Christmas & December bdays a little early this year & last night I surprised them all & snuck away to come back as SANTA! 🎅🏼 I had a big sack filled with wrapped toilet paper for all the big people #2020 & little Christmas stuffed animals for the little kids! I loved it cause they didn’t know who was waving through the glass doors at them! I didn’t even tell Nate! 🤪 But I will say... being Santa is a heated task 🥵 😆 Got my puppy snuggles with the grandparent’s new puppy! 🐶 Who could ask for more!? #43 🥳 #santacame #iknowher
