Tennessee Is Like A Picture That’s Worth A 1000 Words...

As we travel back 800 miles from Tennessee back to Texas... tears fill my eyes as I look at the pictures of our time with family. There are so many words I could say to describe these pictures and many more moments and people that didn’t make the photos.... but those are all in my mind right now. It’s really true what they say... “A Picture is Worth a 1000 Words”.... But it doesn’t tell you how a picture will make you “FEEL” when you look at it. I am overcome with emotions... which isn’t rare... when I look at pictures of our family time. So many special moments and memories to tuck away in our hearts.

I woke one morning early while I was there. I just laid in bed and couldn’t stop the deep thoughts from flooding my sleepy head. I looked around at the tiny window in the room with cracks of light trying to peek through. I kept thinking about our windows of this life. How we all have them... some big, some little, some a little foggy or condensation building, some might be cracking, but no matter what it’s what we look out of and see the darkness and the light. We all can look out our windows and no matter how many cracks or darkness... we can find something to be grateful and thankful for!!! I Love Thanksgiving & the time of year that your heart swells with thankfulness. Getting to be with Family during this time of year can help my window seem even prettier to look out!

As pretty as it is.... It’s so hard being with some of our family only 2 times a year. It pulls on your heart so much when it’s time to leave. It’s a sad and sick feeling. I fight back being a big baby and crying all the way home. I think I finally know WHY.... It’s because Tennessee is like a picture that’s worth a 1000 words!!! A 1000 words & feelings that I don’t have enough space to write about....

It starts with....

the people.... the precious people called FAMILY....the food, the walks, the nature, the moments of talking to one another, the campfire, the animals, the precious new cousins, the laugh till you almost pee moments, the sipping of coffee, the stories about the past, the change of temperatures, the sounds of gunfire & a tractor, the quiet, the loud, the feeling of your childhood that just never leaves the place, the smells, the special moments of Emmie accepting our Lord & Savior & getting baptized in the creek, the hugs, the kisses, the family that waves bye as we leave that leaves us with 1000 feelings & memories until the next trip when we all are together again.

When I look out my window.... I see a picture that’s worth a 1000 words.
