Some Chicken Soup for the Soul..
One of those Sunday mornings….. Hubby & Noah out of town, been under the weather this week, heating pad on my head trying to get my headache to go away & decided to press snooze and miss Sunday School but still make it to church…. It was about 9:25 when my eyes opened again, knowing I had three teenagers to make sure were up… it came to my mind exactly where we were for this week’s sermon. Matthew 5 Sermon on the Mount…. Adultry/Lust… hard things to hear, but important for all of us. You better believe that got this Mama up & making sure her teenagers were in the pew this morning to hear scripture. To hear truth…. not just from their parents, but our pastor reading it from the bible. They need it. We all do. Teens face so much in this world & we need to pour in as much of Jesus to them as we can. As I sat there wanting to “Amen” so much… I just thanked God for always getting us up… getting us out of bed for church. For my Mama always doing it for us when we were young. For Nathan’s parents doing the same for him. I encourage everyone to take their kids to church. They will thank you one day! I am thankful for Sundays…. and yes Sundays in the South . My soul is comforted. Came home & made us homemade chicken noodle soup & grill cheese sandwiches. #takemetochurch #chickensoupforthesoul
I love this life we live... these pics.. these times of reuniting with loved ones who have been gone are so heartwarming to look back on. Just regular life, being at home, the people, the food, the home and land we are so grateful to call ours. It truly is soup for my soul.... and I love soup.
