Sunny Side Up!

Summer is SUNNY SIDE UP!!!! It’s been the kind of Summer this Mama loves! Sometimes we are one day at a time... one hour at a time. No plans and just roll with Summer & try to keep our Sunny Side Up! I love just letting the kids be home and be kids! We have done very good at staying up late and sleeping late too! 

Mornins with my hubby over the stove cookin the most beautiful egg in an iron skillet I ever have seen! Cookin a sunny side up egg takes skill. You have to be patient and not be in a hurry. You have to pay attention and care for it 

“Just right” in order for it to turn out like you want. That’s the way I am with our Summer. It’s easy to overload and fill up the days with too many activities. We are such homebodies and my kids are too. Even my almost 14 year old loves the comfort of home. There have been days we were lazy and watched movies and didn’t do much of anything.  But then we have days we turn that music on and the kids do chores and we get our stuff done so we can do something later on. It’s a good balance.  Mama needs time to take in these littles that are growing so fast!

To take in the moments as I stare down at Jensie’s little freckles on her nose as I am snuggled up with her & just feel thankful I get to be still so I can see them. I love just sitting outside under a tree and watching the bunnies and goats & listening to my Emmie just talk and talk about them. I love getting up early and snugglin up with Gunner since he is the first one up a lot of the time. He is so sweet & loves to chat in the mornins. Then I have Noah as my night owl who still looks forward to sleepin with his Mama when Daddy is out of town... and loves to rent movies. We started our last one at 11pm with popcorn and stayed up till 1 am! As tired as I may be, he always gives me a surge of energy. I don’t take these Summertime  moments for granted. I am tying to treat our days just like a Sunny Side egg.... carefully choosing what we do and taking our time to enjoy the days of Summer! 

Some of the summer stuff below include Gunner cookin his own eggs and bacon and toast and arranging it so cute! A successful Walmart trip with Jensie even finding her teachers name on a coke bottle! She was so happy and says she is never throwing it away. Gunner got a haircut, a little more than we had asked for but it’s ok... it will grow and he is cute no matter what! Emmie and her friends dressed and colored their hair with hair chalk! Too much fun! But not as fun as having to take Emmie to the doc while having 3 extra kiddos who are like my own but still adding my total count that day to 6 kids... and Jensie forgot her shoes. So I had to carry her on my back everywhere. It was kinda funny, kinda not. Then there is my sweet Hubby with his tools out giving into my Pinterest desires. He did such an amazing job! Can’t be any happier than than taking some time to get a drink a cup of coffee & pedicure with my soul sister and a much 

needed dinner with the girls!
