Summer Blues Is In The Rainbow

As hard as it is to recover from losing a pet of almost 11 years... no one gets to have sick time for losing their dog. It's Summer! We only get so many! The kids have to go back to school! We gotta make the most of the time we have left! Turn it around! Look for the rainbow! Ain't nobody got time for too much of Summer Blues! We need Sunshine and Happiness! Some may say it's too soon... but there was a hole and I needed it filled and our other dog that is 2 needed her companion. I started looking at puppies..cause who doesn't like to look at puppies??? They are just adorable and make anyone happy! I didn't really think it would happen so quickly... I thought maybe Christmas? Sonny was a big puppy Christmas surprise! It was the best. A part of me just wanted to leave that for him. We had our puppy Christmas and it was magical! I happen to find a puppy ready to go in a week and decided to do it! I know it was a lot and digesting the fact that we weren't getting another golden retriever was a little harder on the boys. Nate didn't want one nor did I or the girls..but the boys really gave me a hard time about it. I couldn't explain it any other way except... I am not in that season now. I don't want the shedding and honestly just want something different. Looking at Goldens made me sad. So we ended up with our new addition being a Bernedoodle! Which is a  Bernece Mountain Dog and Poodle mix... like our other dog is an Australian Shepherd and Poodle Mix. We love the no shedding. Our aussiedoodle Hallie Rae is a riot of a personality and smart! We decided she need a playmate and we had to get a boy this time because Sonny was a boy and we just needed to keep it that way. Our newest addition is named Hank! So Hank & Hallie it will be! He is so far the best and makes us laugh and we are soaking up the summer cuddles with a puppy. I also thought I would rather potty train in the summer than winter and also have the kids home to help! We adore him & know Sonny would approve. Welcome to the Family Hank!
