Fried Peach Pies

There is nothing like Sister time….. Nothing. I will take it any way I can get it! Oh how blessed I am God gave me a sister… A little sister. My only sibling. There are pictures of me with her in my baby stroller as a newborn. She was mine.  She is growing older… just like me. Her summer birthday is proof & getting to celebrate her is like going back into our childhood memories. It might have been the Friday of the first week of school but somehow when you are going to visit your sissy it doesn’t matter. There is an energy to see her… to sip & swirl with her… to taste the sweetness or our childhood in an old fashioned fried peach pie made by my Mama… and me as a gift to her. Nothing like those memories of Mama making them for Daddy’s lunchbox. Sending him off early in the mornings to the Railroad to work… He took his black lunchbox & sometimes would come home with a candy bar for us in it. Finding one of these old lunchboxes was the perfect “gift bag” for my sweet sissy’s gift & a perfect centerpiece to take us all back in time. It was another wonderful morning to make a memory with my Mama to make these with her. Such a gift in itself.
I love that my sister & me live close enough that I can drive to her & spend the night & next day in the sun together & my mom too. Pictures are just the best & I love looking back and remembering how blessed we are to have one another! Happy Birthday to My Baby Sissy! My life is so much better & funnier to have her in my days! πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•
