❤️Texas Was Our Honeymoon❤️

18 years ago two newly married “Oranges” drove a big moving truck & moved down to Texas! We had just graduated college after dating for 7 years of high school & college. We got married & our honeymoon....

 was... TEXAS! 

It has been the best place to honeymoon. An 18 year honeymoon! I wouldn’t change a thang! God knew exactly where to take us & keep us. I am so grateful He let us stay a while! We have made a place in TX that makes us Texas Forever! All of our kids were born there & official Texans! We have had some of the sweetest friendships & people put in our path here & it’s hard to be too sad because we feel so blessed to have had all we have had & know the Lord has been so, so good to us! 

“One good person is a gift to the whole world.” Well... we have certainly had way more than one good person... but many... that have changed our whole world here in Texas. Texas has been “our adventure”.... our special place to start our "Bunch of Oranges" family & make memories that will stay with us forever. We are forever deep in the heart of Texas & Texas is forever deep in the heart of the Orange Family! 

These pictures are the last days & kept us going right up to the very end with so much love. The gifts, the special lunches, the dinners, the hospitality, the time taken to come hug our neck one last time before we hit the road, the tears, the laughs & moments that made us know we were gonna miss this, gonna want it back, gonna always have a special place with special people the Lord put all around our family for so long. How can that not make us sad to leave? It does. It will. It will take time to accept the distance & cling to memories & hope for future time. We will thank God for what He has given us there. We will choose to be happy because we know He has a greater plan than we could ever know & we will trust Him. Thank you Lord for Texas!

With You Lord!

I wish I had a picture with each & every person that were a part of our journey, that touched us in ways that will imprint upon our hearts forever. There are & were so many after 18 years & we are who we are because of all those God has placed around us. There were special things about each person that made you stand out because of who you were. I have learned that God truly knows we go through seasons of life & he knows just who we need & he places them there. Sometimes it is for a short time, sometimes a long time. 

But no matter what... 

The TIME MATTERED. 

The PEOPLE MATTERED

We need people in our lives always! So many things about life are meant to be shared with one another. I am forever grateful for all people God placed in our lives in Texas.

 In some way you have encouraged me. 

By your presence, your story, your smile, 

your authenticity, your attitude, your realness,

your opinions, your ideas, your advice, your expressions, your influence, your example, 

your p-a-r-t in my life...

 Whatever it was, it meant something to me, 

encouraged me, inspired me & 

made YOU stand out to me.

18 years later.... Aged,  Loved & blessed by the Lord

It's time to let someone else drive that BIGGER moving truck since our family grew!

Packing up 18 years was emotional... 

Memory Lane is always an emotional place.

Here are pictures of all the people we got to see & spend a little bit with. Wish it could have been everyone but grateful for all who will remain kn our hearts! 

Our last goodbyes & on the road... One stop for a new tire they was leaking faster than our brains could decide the  best option... but the Lord knew a discount tire was minutes from our middle of nowhere situation. 

The Tennessee sign has “welcomed” us for 18 years of “coming back home to visit”... we have always cheered & whooo hoooed, sang Rocky Top & taken pictures...

this time it welcomed us “HOME” to stay & was quite a different feeling. And so it begins....
